Support Our Mission
Your Contribution Creates Lasting Impact
FISTCOP’s mission to protect the rights, lands, and culture of Indigenous Peoples is a collective effort. As a non-profit, non-stock corporation, our work is made possible through the generous support of individuals, foundations, and organizations who share our vision. Your support, whether financial or in-kind, directly fuels our programs and allows us to continue bridging the gap between the promise of the law and the lived realities of Indigenous communities.
Why Your Support Matters
Every contribution, no matter the size, is a vital investment in self-determination and sustainable development. Your support allows us to:
- Provide Critical Legal Aid: Fund our IP Legal Assistance (IPLA) program, enabling us to offer direct legal support and train community-based paralegals to defend their ancestral domains.
- Foster Economic Self-Reliance: Help establish and scale sustainable livelihood projects, from community-based agriculture to traditional craft enterprises, ensuring that economic benefits remain within the community.
- Strengthen Cooperative Movements: Provide the necessary training and technical assistance for IP-led cooperatives to thrive, empowering them to manage their own resources and enterprises effectively.
- Advocate for Systemic Change: Sustain our advocacy efforts for stronger enforcement of the IPRA and for policies that respect and uphold the rights of Indigenous Peoples at all levels of governance.
Ways to Give
FISTCOP welcomes various forms of support that align with our non-profit status and mission.
-
Donations and Philanthropic Funding: We actively solicit and accept donations from individuals, corporations through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, and philanthropic organizations. These contributions are essential for our core operations, pilot projects, and scaling our impact.
-
Grants: We apply for project-specific grants from local and international foundations for initiatives related to forest protection, conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and capacity-building.
-
In-Kind Support: Non-monetary contributions are also incredibly valuable. This can include donations of goods, equipment, or the pro-bono provision of specialized expertise in areas like law, finance, or technology.
Our Commitment to Transparency
FISTCOP is committed to the highest standards of financial transparency and accountability. As a registered non-stock corporation, we ensure that all funds and resources are managed responsibly and are fully reinvested into our mission-driven programs. No part of our income is ever distributed as dividends. We maintain rigorous financial management and transparent reporting to build and sustain the trust of our partners and the communities we serve.
